Why users are canceling
Microsoft recently restructured Game Pass plans and raised prices, renaming tiers: Core is now Essential, and Standard is now Premium. The Ultimate tier kept its name but saw a significant price increase.
The Ultimate plan rose from R$ 59.99 per month to R$ 119.99 per month, prompting many subscribers to cancel due to the higher cost, which amounts to roughly R$ 1,400 per year.
Current plans and pricing
There are three Game Pass options available now:
- Ultimate — R$ 119.99 per month. Includes access to more than 400 games, day-one releases, EA Play, and Ubisoft+ Classics.
- Premium — Increased from R$ 44.99 to R$ 59.90 per month. Offers more than 200 games; new releases become available one year after launch.
- Essential — Increased from R$ 34.99 to R$ 43.90 per month. The entry-level plan includes over 50 games.
All three tiers provide games for Xbox, PC and supported devices, cloud streaming, online multiplayer, and benefits related to League of Legends and Call of Duty: Warzone.
