Microsoft revealed the initial slate of games arriving on Xbox Game Pass in July 2026, mixing remasters, day-one releases and indie titles across console, PC and cloud platforms.
Major arrivals: Gears of War and Tony Hawk
Gears of War: Reloaded, a modernized version of the franchise’s first entry, will join Game Pass on July 9 for Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud. The remaster was already available to Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers and will now also be included in the Game Pass Premium plan.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, a full remake that packages the series’ first two skateboarding games, is scheduled to enter the subscription on July 21 and will be playable on console, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Day-one and new releases coming to the service
July’s update also brings new releases that arrive on Game Pass the same day they launch. Ascend to Zero, an action roguelike influenced by Hades that features time-manipulation mechanics, will debut on Game Pass on its release date, July 13.
Other new additions appearing during the month include:
- Winds of Arcana: Ruination — a 2.5D metroidvania focused on exploration and magic;
- Tamashika — a fast-paced arcade shooter;
- Quarantine Zone: The Last Check — a survival game;
- Mavrix — a multiplayer title centered on extreme sports;
- FixForce — a cooperative extraction platformer;
- Fogpiercer — a deckbuilding roguelike set on a futuristic train;
- The Planet Crafter — an open-world construction and survival simulator.
Palworld reaches version 1.0 with major update
Microsoft confirmed that several existing Game Pass titles will receive updates in July. The most notable is Palworld, which will move to version 1.0 and add new regions, characters and other fresh content to the survival game.

Titles leaving Game Pass this month
Microsoft also listed games scheduled to depart the service in July. Among the confirmed removals are EA Sports FC 24, Golf With Your Friends, PowerWash Simulator, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Stellaris.
