Nintendo introduced Alarmo, a bedside alarm clock that responds to user movement and plays sounds drawn from several Switch games, the company said. The device can be snoozed or silenced with simple gestures without leaving bed.
Hardware and game audio
Alarmo includes a 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi radio and a 24 GHz mmWave sensor to detect motion, according to Nintendo. Its sound library initially features immersive audio from five Switch titles: Breath of the Wild, Pikmin 4, Splatoon 3, Super Mario Odyssey and Ring Fit Adventure.
The company says the clock ships with 35 distinct audio clips. Users can link Alarmo to their Nintendo account to download additional sounds when new updates are released; Nintendo indicated Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Mario Kart 8 are planned additions.

Sleep tracking and alarm modes
In addition to motion control, Alarmo offers sleep-monitoring features that record how much the user moves during the night. The device has multiple alarm behaviors: a Stable mode in which the alarm grows gradually louder the longer the user remains in bed, a Gentle mode that maintains a steadier intensity, and a Button Mode that provides a traditional snooze-button experience.
Price, availability and early access
Nintendo set the price at US$99.99 (about R$550) and said Alarmo will be available in early 2025. Switch Online subscribers are eligible to purchase the device early; interested subscribers can access that option by clicking here.
