Xbox announced the Aqua Shift Special Edition wireless controller for Series X | S on Tuesday, offering a pearlescent blue colorway and new tactile features aimed at collectors and players alike.
Design and new grip details
The Aqua Shift controller introduces the first rubberized side grips on a Series X | S controller, and each unit includes a unique two-tone swirl pattern on the grips. Buttons are textured for improved feel, and the controller keeps the familiar layout of the Xbox Wireless Controller line.
Customization and compatibility
The controller retains the programmable Share button: its function can be customized through the Xbox Accessories app.
Price and availability
The Xbox Wireless Controller – Aqua Shift Special Edition is available for pre-order on Microsoft’s website for about $70. A direct currency conversion places the price at roughly R$360.
For collectors
While the controller’s price places it above entry-level options, Xbox framed the release as an exclusive edition that may appeal to collectors seeking a distinct colorway and upgraded tactile elements.
