Warner Bros. and Microsoft launched a charity campaign tied to the film Wonder Woman 1984 that will award two customized Xbox One X consoles by raffle and auction a third, solid‑gold–plated console to benefit programs supporting girls and women at risk.
The promotion opened on Tuesday, August 25, and runs through September 17. The film, starring Gal Gadot, was originally scheduled to premiere on August 14 but has been pushed to October 2 due to the Covid‑19 pandemic.
What’s being offered
Three Xbox One X consoles received custom designs inspired by Wonder Woman 1984. Two of those units will be given away to fans who enter the raffle; the third will be auctioned off with proceeds directed to charity.
Gold console to be auctioned
The console set for auction takes its cues from the golden armor worn by the superhero in the film. It was hand‑finished with 24‑karat gold leaf, features a central gold eagle emblem and a 3D‑printed Wonder Woman 1984 logo. Net proceeds from the sale will go to Together for Her, an initiative created by the Africa Outreach Project, the charity founded by actress Charlize Theron, to help combat domestic violence during the Covid‑19 pandemic.
How to enter the giveaway
Fans who do not wish to bid on the auctioned console can enter the raffle for the other two custom consoles. To participate, users must retweet the specified post or like the Facebook post tied to the campaign.
Designs of the giveaway consoles
One of the raffle consoles features Wonder Woman’s Lasso of Truth braided across the top, surrounding a 3D‑printed logo with bright, 1980s‑style colors. The other takes inspiration from the film’s antagonist Barbara Minerva, also known as Cheetah, portrayed by Kristen Wiig.
Prize details and restrictions
Important: the three custom consoles are display pieces only and are not functional gaming units. However, Microsoft will ship a standard, working Xbox One X to each raffle winner.
