The announcement followed the premature circulation of in-development content from Just Dance: Decade of Hits. In response to the leaks, Ubisoft expressed regret over the unauthorized disclosures and said it would release official details on September 10.
Ubisoft did not mention a Nintendo Direct in its statement. Still, fans noted the timing and the series’ history of appearing in Nintendo presentations as reasons to suspect the reveal might occur during a Nintendo broadcast.
Why fans link the date to a Nintendo Direct
Just Dance has a precedent of being unveiled or featured during Nintendo events: for example, Just Dance 2026 Edition was announced at a Nintendo presentation last year. That history, combined with Ubisoft’s chosen date, led many to connect the dots toward a possible Direct on September 10.
