Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch, an asymmetric cooperative horror game for two players, will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22, 2026, developer Atlantis Studio announced. The studio also revealed new cast and production details, including voice talent Troy Baker, an original score by Oscar Araujo and development support from Q-Games.
Key cast and creative team revealed

Troy Baker, known for his roles as Joel in The Last of Us and performances in titles such as Death Stranding and BioShock Infinite, is part of the voice cast for Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch.
Oscar Araujo, the composer behind the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow trilogy, will create the game’s original soundtrack. According to Atlantis Studio, Araujo’s score aims to heighten feelings of isolation, uncertainty and tension as players explore the game’s environments.
Atlantis Studio also confirmed a collaboration with Q-Games, the Japanese studio that contributed animation expertise to help realize the Gloam, the central hostile entity that pursues players during the game.
Asymmetric two-player gameplay and features

Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch is designed specifically for two players who must cooperate to escape a house filled with mysteries and threats. The game pairs distinct perspectives: one player explores environments in first-person view searching for clues and evading the Gloam, while the other monitors the situation through a network of cameras and uses tactical tools to guide their partner.
Because each player has different information, effective communication is essential to solve puzzles and survive encounters.
The game will support both local and online multiplayer, include GameShare support and offer a Friend Pass that allows two players to play together with a single purchased copy.
