Reggie Fils-Aimé names Halo as his favorite non-Nintendo game

Reggie Fils-Aimé, former president of Nintendo of America, said Halo is his favorite game that wasn’t released on Nintendo hardware, during an interview with G4TV.

Played Halo before owning a GameCube

Asked which non-Nintendo game he preferred, Fils-Aimé answered simply: “Halo.” He explained that an original Xbox was in his living room before he owned a GameCube, noting that at the time he was not working for Nintendo and was “on [his] own video game journey.”

Family influenced his experience

Fils-Aimé recalled that his children asked him to buy an Xbox so he could play Halo. “They ended up dragging me into it,” he said, adding that although he wasn’t particularly skilled at the game, he had a lot of fun playing it with his family.
