Microsoft’s next-generation consoles, the Xbox Series X and Series S, arrive in stores on November 10, and several games will be available the same day the systems launch.
Day-one titles announced
The company confirmed a lineup that includes Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (Ubisoft), Gears Tactics (Splash Damage / Xbox Game Studios), Yakuza: Like a Dragon (Sega) and Tetris Effect: Connected (Monstars / Resonair) as titles players can access on November 10.

Major releases arriving shortly after launch
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is scheduled to release three days later on November 13. Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt Red is set to arrive on November 19.
Optimized versions and cross-generation support
Several games already available or launching before the new consoles will receive optimized versions for the Series X and Series S. Examples listed include Dirt 5, Watch Dogs: Legion, Fortnite, NBA 2K21, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Control, Doom Eternal and Marvel’s Avengers.
Smart Delivery simplifies upgrades
Microsoft is promoting its Smart Delivery feature, which automatically provides players with the most appropriate version of a game for their console—whether Xbox One, Series S or Series X—without requiring a separate purchase for the upgraded edition.

No exclusive blockbuster at launch
All the games mentioned will also be available on Xbox One and competing platforms such as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 or PC. There is no single exclusive title listed that alone would compel an immediate console purchase, suggesting a more gradual transition from the eighth to the ninth generation of consoles.
