Rainbow Six Extraction joins Xbox Game Pass at launch

Rainbow Six Extraction will be available to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass subscribers on its release date, January 20, 2022, the publisher announced.

What the game offers

Rainbow Six Extraction is a cooperative PvE tactical shooter in which three-player teams confront a parasitic alien threat known as the Archaeans while scavenging for resources in the environment. The title will launch on both Xbox One and Xbox Series S|X.

Subscription availability and broader plans

Subscribers to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass will be able to access Rainbow Six Extraction on launch day. Ubisoft also confirmed that its Ubisoft+ subscription service will arrive on Xbox at a later date.

Company comment

Ubisoft executive Chris Early commented on the decision to include Extraction at launch, saying that making the game available to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass members on day one demonstrates the company’s belief in the value and choice subscription services provide to players.

Related title added to PC Game Pass

In addition to Extraction joining Game Pass at release, Rainbow Six Siege — already available on Xbox consoles — will be added to the PC Game Pass catalog on January 20, 2022.
