CELOL Série A: three teams fight for final two playoff spots

The CELOL Série A regular stage is entering its final two rounds, and the race for the remaining playoff places is still undecided. After nine of 11 rounds, four teams have already qualified for the six-team playoffs, while LOS Academy, Neon Esports and Invictus Team remain in contention for the last two spots.

Standings after nine rounds

emBRAZA! Esports and Smoke Tram Esports share the top of the table with identical records: eight wins and one loss, totaling 24 points each. NKZ Vorax and Marere E-Sports follow with seven wins and two losses (21 points each).

LOS Academy and Neon Esports sit in fifth and sixth with six wins and three losses (18 points each). Invictus Team is seventh with four wins and five losses and retains a mathematical chance to climb into the top six.

Below them, four teams are already out of playoff contention but can still affect the final placings of their rivals.

Which teams are already qualified?

Four clubs have secured playoff berths with the current results:

  • emBRAZA! Esports — eight wins, one loss
  • Smoke Tram Esports — eight wins, one loss
  • NKZ Vorax — seven wins, two losses
  • Marere E-Sports — seven wins, two losses

With only two rounds remaining, Invictus Team can reach at most six wins, so it cannot catch any of these four teams. However, these qualified teams still compete for final seeding, notably the top spot shared by emBRAZA! and Smoke Tram.

LOS Academy and Neon Esports: control their own fate

Both LOS Academy and Neon Esports enter round 10 with matching 6–3 records. Each team depends solely on its remaining matches to clinch a playoff berth: winning both of their last two games would lift either to seven wins, out of reach for Invictus Team.

In round 10, LOS Academy faces Marere E-Sports, while Neon Esports plays Sphere, a team that has yet to register a win. If both LOS Academy and Neon secure victories in round 10, the six playoff qualifiers would be decided before the final round.

Conversely, if one of them drops both remaining matches and Invictus wins its two, a tie in total wins could occur and official tiebreaker criteria would be applied to determine who advances.

Invictus Team’s scenario to stay alive

Invictus Team is the only club outside the top six that still holds a mathematical path to the playoffs. Sitting at 4–5, the team must win both remaining fixtures to reach six wins.

Even with two wins, Invictus cannot qualify outright: at least one of LOS Academy or Neon Esports must lose both of their last matches so that at least one ends on a 6–5 record and tiebreakers come into play.

If LOS Academy and Neon each secure at least one victory across the final two rounds, Invictus will be eliminated regardless of its own results. In round 10, Invictus faces Smoke Tram Esports; that match is pivotal for its survival. A defeat would eliminate Invictus immediately, regardless of other outcomes.

Teams already eliminated from playoff contention

Four teams cannot reach the top six any longer:

  • Shark Bite Furious Gaming Black
  • Shark Bite Furious Gaming White
  • Juventus Gaming Red
  • Smoke Tram Ascension

Each of these teams has two wins and can reach at most four; since LOS Academy and Neon already have six wins, none can catch the playoff places. Their remaining matches, however, may still influence seeding and tiebreak scenarios among other teams.

Key fixtures in round 10

Round 10 features matches with potential impact on both the title race and playoff qualification:

  • emBRAZA! Esports vs Juventus Gaming Red
  • Marere E-Sports vs LOS Academy
  • Smoke Tram Esports vs Invictus Team
  • NKZ Vorax vs Smoke Tram Ascension
  • Shark Bite Furious Gaming Black vs Shark Bite Furious Gaming White

All teams receive a walkover win (W.O.) against Sphere for the remainder of the regular stage.

A LOS Academy victory over Marere would secure their playoff spot. For Invictus, defeating Smoke Tram is essential to remain in contention heading into the final round; a loss would end their chances immediately.

What the final round will decide

After round 10, each team will have a single match left in round 11 to complete the regular stage. Those final results will determine the six playoff qualifiers and the seeding for the eliminations. If teams finish with identical win totals, the competition’s official tiebreaker rules will decide their relative positions.

The six teams that advance from the CELOL Série A regular stage will move on to the playoffs, where the elimination bracket will decide the champion.

Where to follow the remainder of CELOL Série A

Follow the last two rounds to see whether LOS Academy and Neon Esports confirm their berths or if Invictus Team forces a tiebreaking battle in the final round.
