Microsoft is expanding Xbox Game Pass in the second half of September with a slate of new additions, highlighted by Ninja Gaiden 4, Dune: Awakening, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Minecraft Dungeons 2. Several titles arrive between Sept. 16 and Sept. 29, and select subscribers will get a limited 10-hour trial of EA Sports FC 27.
Ninja Gaiden 4 joins Game Pass on Sept. 17
Ninja Gaiden 4 is scheduled to arrive on Xbox Game Pass on September 17. The title will be available for Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud subscribers.
The same day will also see Kernel Hearts added to the service for Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud.
One day earlier, on September 16, four games will join the catalog: Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Planet of Lana 2, Routine and Ultimate Sheep Raccoon.
EA Sports FC 27 offered as a 10-hour trial
From September 18, eligible Game Pass subscribers will be able to play EA Sports FC 27 for up to 10 hours. This offering is a time-limited trial rather than a full inclusion in the Game Pass catalog.
The FC 27 trial will be available on Xbox Series X|S and PC. The publisher previously made a similar 10-hour trial available for NHL 27 earlier in the month.
Dune: Awakening and other midweek additions
Dune: Awakening will join Xbox Game Pass on September 22, with availability on Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud. Well Dweller will also be added on that same date for console, PC and cloud platforms.
On September 23, Mad King Redemption is set to enter the catalog.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 added to Premium on Sept. 25
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be added to the Game Pass Premium tier on September 25, available for console, PC and cloud play. Earlier in the month, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War entered the service on Sept. 8.
Also on Sept. 25, Rematch will arrive on the Essential plan.
To close out the month, Minecraft Dungeons 2 is scheduled to join the catalog on September 29, with access for Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud subscribers.
Availability and departures
The catalog additions vary by plan: for example, Ninja Gaiden 4 is listed for Premium, while Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be added to Premium on Sept. 25 and Minecraft Dungeons 2 is listed for Ultimate and PC.
The service is also seeing departures: according to the published list, 11 games left Game Pass in the first half of September and another eight are expected to exit during the second half.
