Microsoft announced a U.S.-only sweepstakes for two limited-edition wireless Xbox controllers themed to the TV series The Mandalorian, timed to coincide with the show’s season finale release on Friday, Dec. 18.
What’s being given away
Two distinct controllers will be raffled: one featuring the Child (commonly known as “Baby Yoda”) and another styled after the Mandalorian, Din Djarin, portrayed in the series by Pedro Pascal. Xbox described the colors as “Tatooine orange” and “Tython blue.” These commemorative controllers are limited editions and will not be available for purchase.

How to enter and eligibility
The sweepstakes is open to U.S. residents aged 18 or older and runs through December 28. Entry details specify that participants must reside in the United States.
Related product available for purchase
Although the sweepstakes controllers won’t be sold, Microsoft already offers a Mandalorian-themed Xbox controller that is currently available for pre-order at US$169.99, with a scheduled release date of December 31.
Partnerships and cross-promotions
The Mandalorian series is exclusive to Disney+. Microsoft noted that Game Pass Ultimate subscribers receive 30 days of Disney+ access. The collaboration between Disney and Microsoft extends into games as well: a new Star Wars–inspired DLC for Minecraft includes 12 planets, 36 HD character skins, and John Williams’ classic theme.
Additional tie-ins in other games
The Mandalorian is also featured in Fortnite’s current Battle Pass. Over the coming months, players can progress through levels and unlock challenges that reward pieces of Beskar armor. Reaching level 100 grants the backpack that serves as the Child’s cradle.
