Short gameplay clips and a map allegedly from Grand Theft Auto VI began circulating online this week, prompting Rockstar Games to issue copyright removal requests against some posts that shared the content.
What the leaked clips reportedly show

One leaked clip, roughly one minute long, reportedly shows Jason — one of GTA 6’s protagonists — inside a residence playing a basketball minigame. The footage includes parts of the game’s interface and a brief tutorial explaining the minigame controls; some viewers suggested the material might come from an earlier development build.
Another clip allegedly displays Jason driving a vehicle, colliding with several cars, provoking a delivery driver and becoming involved in a fight that escalates into a police response. The sequence highlights elements of the game’s driving and combat systems.
After Rockstar began filing DMCA takedown notices, the videos have become progressively harder to find online.
Alleged Leonida map surfaces
Alongside the clips, a map attributed to Leonida — the region said to host GTA 6 — circulated on the same channels. The provenance of the map is unclear: it has not been confirmed whether the file originated from Rockstar’s assets or is a fan-made creation.
Because its origin is uncertain, details from the map should be treated as unconfirmed.
Leak source issues demands to Rockstar and publishers
The entity or person claiming responsibility for the leak, identifying itself as Cyberleek, published the materials and also posted three demands directed at Rockstar and other game publishers.
- Stop selling digital pre-orders;
- Do not market fake single-player DLC;
- Preserve single-player content.
Cyberleek said these conditions are the minimum acceptable and warned it could release further leaks against publishers that fail to comply.
Timing ahead of Netflix presentation

The alleged leak appeared shortly before an extended GTA 6 presentation scheduled on Netflix for August 27. That presentation is expected to disclose more details about the game’s systems and features.
If the leaked clips are authentic, some mechanics may have surfaced earlier than Rockstar intended. However, because the clips’ provenance and the development build they show remain unverified, they may not represent the game’s current state.
Release date and platforms
GTA 6 is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Information shared so far indicates physical copies will contain only digital codes in the box, though Take-Two has not entirely ruled out a disc edition.
With the Netflix event on August 27, additional official information about GTA 6 is expected ahead of the November launch.
