Microsoft announced that its search engine Bing will now be called Microsoft Bing, unveiling an updated logo and a branding change that reflects closer integration with the company’s suite of products. The change was announced in a company blog post on Monday, May 5.
The announcement said the addition of “Microsoft” to the Bing name reflects “the ongoing integration of our search experiences across the Microsoft family.” Aside from the name change, Bing now displays a refreshed Bing logo and a Microsoft Bing logo in the upper corner of the search home page. Microsoft did not specify whether the older logo will be fully replaced or if both marks will be used.

Microsoft has been testing new Bing logos in recent months, with some of those variants appearing temporarily in the search service. The move follows a recent pattern of the company appending its name to established products: Office 365 became Microsoft 365, and Windows Store was renamed Microsoft Store.
How this aligns with other Microsoft products
Several Microsoft products already carry the company name, including Microsoft Edge and Microsoft Teams. Other well-known products have retained their standalone brands for now, such as Surface and Xbox.
Microsoft Search integration
Alongside the branding updates, Microsoft has been gradually enhancing Microsoft Search, a separate product that powers search results across Office, Windows and other services. Microsoft Search is also surfaced within Bing to provide organizations with an intranet-style search for documents and other internal files.
Windows 10 gaming task manager previewed
Separately, Windows 10 is receiving a new task manager focused on PC gaming. According to Windows Central, the feature will be available inside the Xbox Game Bar and include a “Resources” tab to monitor which applications demand the most hardware resources, track game performance, and adjust settings in real time without leaving a game session.
