Forza Horizon 5 launches with 426 cars

Playground Games revealed during the Let’s Go! live stream that Forza Horizon 5 will include 426 vehicles at launch, offering players a wide selection of makes and models to drive across the game’s open-world recreation of Mexico.

More cars coming before and after launch

The studio confirmed additional vehicles will be added to the roster before the game’s release on November 9, 2021, and that post-launch updates will add even more models. Developers also said they will announce further content prior to launch, and provided early details about the return of the Festival Playlist—which will bring a set of established franchise cars into the game in the months following release.

Brands and notable debuts

The announced line-up spans numerous manufacturers, including Lamborghini, Ferrari, Honda, Mercedes, McLaren, Audi and Aston Martin. New-to-franchise models highlighted by the developers include the Ford Super Duty F-450 DRW 2020, the Jaguar Sport XJR-15 1991 and the all-electric Porsche Taycan Turbo S 2020.

The game’s cover vehicles were also confirmed: the Mercedes-AMG ONE and the Ford Bronco Badlands 2021 will appear in Forza Horizon 5.

Vehicle presentation and technical features

Players will be able to explore automobiles in detail using the Forzavista mode, which showcases unique features and high levels of visual fidelity. Those playing on Xbox Series X/S and PC will experience the mode with ray tracing enabled.

Collection system and rewards

Playground Games described a new Car Collection interface that highlights vehicles a player owns and lets them track acquisitions by manufacturer. Each car carries a rarity level, and collecting a set number of models from a particular maker will unlock a special reward.

Platforms and where to see the full list

Forza Horizon 5 is scheduled to release for PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One on November 9, 2021. The full list of cars available in the game can be consulted on the official Forza Motorsport site via the game’s official listing.
