Capcom used its E3 2021 presentation to confirm release windows and share trailers for several previously announced projects, including the free multiplayer for Resident Evil Village and new details for its Monster Hunter lineup.
Resident Evil Re: Verse to arrive in July
The company said Resident Evil Re: Verse, the multiplayer mode tied to Resident Evil Village, was delayed during development because of the pandemic and did not launch alongside Village. Capcom confirmed the multiplayer will be available free to owners of Resident Evil Village, arriving in July; an exact release date was not disclosed.
Producer Tsuyoshi Kanda also revealed during the show that a new DLC for Resident Evil Village is in development, though no specifics about content or timing were provided. Resident Evil Village is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin — demo and release dates
Capcom premiered a new trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin and confirmed the title will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive. The full game releases on July 9, and a demo will be available to download starting June 25.
In addition, Monster Hunter Rise, another Switch exclusive, will receive crossover content tied to Wings of Ruin; some of that content will be paid, while other crossover items will be free.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles confirmed for July

Capcom reiterated the Western release of The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, a collection that arrives July 27, 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The package brings together two titles previously released in Japan — The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures (2015) and The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve (2017) — and includes additional cases and minigames.
Capcom Pro Tour 2021 details

The presentation also included a segment on the Capcom Pro Tour 2021, the company’s international fighting-game circuit. The 2021 edition is scheduled to feature 32 tournaments across 19 territories and will act as qualifiers for the Capcom Cup.
