Microsoft announced a novelty product at an E3 2021 presentation: a compact refrigerator designed to resemble the Xbox Series X console.
The Xbox Mini Fridge, as Microsoft calls it, is a playful response to online memes that compared the Xbox Series X’s boxy silhouette to a household refrigerator. The company had previously leaned into the joke in 2020 by producing a limited number of fridge units inspired by the console.
Design and features
The mini fridge reproduces key visual elements associated with the Xbox Series X. According to Microsoft, the appliance includes console-like exterior styling, neon lighting and even the Xbox startup sound playing when the door is opened.
Availability
Microsoft says the Xbox Mini Fridge will be available through the end of the year.
