PlayStation schedules June State of Play with PS5 game reveals

Sony confirmed a new State of Play broadcast set for June 2, 2026, focused on PlayStation 5 releases and updates. The digital showcase is expected to include announcements, fresh details and gameplay related to titles arriving on the platform in the coming months.

The company said the presentation will run for about 40 minutes and will feature games from both PlayStation’s first‑party teams and external partner studios. Sony will stream the event on its official YouTube and Twitch channels.

Marvel’s Wolverine among most anticipated

While Sony has not released a full lineup, the community is especially watching for news on Marvel’s Wolverine, developed by Insomniac Games. Since its initial reveal, Wolverine has remained one of the most eagerly awaited projects in the PlayStation ecosystem, and observers expect the State of Play to share new footage, gameplay segments or further release information.

Timing fits major midyear gaming showcases

The announcement comes during a busy period for the games industry, close to other midyear presentations by major companies. June traditionally hosts significant announcements, trailers and new project reveals across the market, and Sony’s event falls within that cadence.

Global, free broadcast

Sony emphasized the State of Play will be available worldwide and free to watch for players. Exact start times and the complete slate of featured titles have not been disclosed.
