How to set up a kids profile on Disney+

Disney+ allows users to create a kids profile that restricts access to age-inappropriate content. Activating a kids profile makes the app filter titles by age rating so children are not exposed to violent or mature programming.

How the kids profile works

When a profile is set as a kids profile, Disney+ applies content filters based on age classifications tied to that profile. The feature is designed to limit the catalog visible to the profile holder, preventing access to material intended for older audiences.

On a web browser

  1. Sign in to your Disney+ account.
  2. Select your profile.
  3. Click “Edit Profiles” to open the list of available profiles.
  4. Choose the profile you want to change.
  5. Toggle the kids profile slider to “Yes” by moving it to the right.
  6. Save the changes.

On mobile devices

  1. Open the Disney+ app and sign in to your profile.
  2. Tap “Edit Profiles” to view available profiles.
  3. Select the profile you want to edit.
  4. Slide the kids profile slider to the right to set it to “Yes.”
  5. Tap “Save.”
