How to change your Xbox Game Pass region on PC or console

If you are moving to another country, you can change the region associated with your Xbox Game Pass account. Updating the device region can make additional games available, but using this to evade regional restrictions may result in suspensions or bans by Microsoft.

Change region on Windows (for PC users)

Estimated time: 1 minute.

  1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard and open “Settings.”
  2. Select “Time & Language.”
  3. Click “Region.”
  4. Change “Country or region.” After updating, open the Xbox app; it should reflect the new locale and may show additional Game Pass titles.

Change region on Xbox console

Follow these steps on your console to update the locale:

  1. Open “Settings” on the console.
  2. Select “System.”
  3. Go to “Language & location.”
  4. Under “Location,” choose the new country.
  5. Restart the console to apply and save the change.
