Halo Infinite Season 2 “Lone Wolves” Arrives May 3

343 Industries released the trailer and confirmed the May 3 launch date for Halo Infinite’s second season, titled Lone Wolves. The announcement, made on Friday the 8th, outlines new multiplayer content arriving for the first-person shooter published by Xbox Game Studios.

What’s coming in Season 2

Season 2 will introduce a new battle pass system along with additional game modes and maps. Among the maps are an Arena map called Catalyst and a Big Team Battle map named Breaker.

According to Polygon, the new modes include a free-for-all elimination mode called Last Spartan Standing, a mode named Land Grab, and an updated version of King of the Hill.

Campaign cooperative mode update

343 Industries reiterated that the campaign’s cooperative mode will not launch with Season 2. The studio stated in March that it expects co-op to arrive soon, but no release date has been provided.

Background and related media

Halo Infinite originally launched in December 2021 and has received ongoing updates to address bugs and player feedback. The game remains a core title for Xbox Game Studios.

The Halo franchise has also expanded to live-action: a Paramount+ series titled Halo, which focuses on Master Chief (played by Pablo Schreiber) and the Spartans’ conflict with the alien Covenant, has had its second season announced prior to the first season’s premiere. The original article includes the series’ trailer.
