EA Sports FC 27 will be released worldwide on September 25, 2026, the publisher announced, bringing a social playground called The Grounds, a Football Ultimate Team Gallery, and a complete overhaul of the Career mode transfer market. Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham appear together on the cover of the limited Ultimate Plus edition, while Mbappé also stars on the Standard and Ultimate edition covers.
The Grounds turns Clubs into a social football playground
The Grounds expands the existing Clubs mode into a social hub where players can explore three districts inspired by football history and culture. The space will host casual kickabouts, competitive matches and avatar customization.
As players progress in The Grounds they will receive mentoring and guidance from figures including Kylian Mbappé, Chloe Kelly, Paulo Dybala and Alex Hunter, the protagonist from the former The Journey story mode. The feature will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
Career mode transfer market rebuilt with TransferRoom tech
The Manager Career mode receives a redesigned transfer market intended to make negotiations faster, smarter and more dynamic. EA said the new system was developed with technology from TransferRoom.
Player values will be influenced by club financial power, player potential, ratings and seasonal form. The revamped market also adds new negotiation tactics, dynamic auctions and simplified processes, and AI-controlled clubs are expected to sign players more strategically under the new rules.
Football Ultimate Team adds a dedicated Gallery
Ultimate Team gains a Galeria do FUT — a Gallery area focused on collecting player items from current and historical rosters. Users can complete themed collections tied to clubs, leagues, national teams and FUT campaigns.
Completing collections raises the Gallery level and unlocks seasonal rewards. EA says the Gallery aims to help players preserve and rebuild their club identity throughout the game cycle.
Gameplay updates reflect community feedback
EA stated gameplay changes were developed from community input and will be applied across all modes. Announced improvements include dynamic corners, improved attacking vision, greater control and fluidity, and rebalanced AI-led defending.
Mbappé and Bellingham headline Ultimate Plus cover
Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham appear together on the Ultimate Plus edition cover, which is available for a limited time through August 31. This marks Bellingham’s third cover appearance for the franchise; Mbappé also features on the Standard and Ultimate covers.
“I am very proud to appear on three covers of EA Sports FC 27 and to share the Ultimate Plus cover with my Real Madrid teammate, Jude Bellingham,” the French forward said.
“Whenever I have had the chance to be part of EA Sports FC it has been a special moment, and returning for a third cover alongside Kylian is no different,” Bellingham added.
