LG and Microsoft announced at CES 2025 that Xbox Cloud Gaming will be available on some LG Smart TVs later this year, enabling players to stream compatible games directly on the television without a console.
Announcement made at CES 2025
The companies revealed the plan as part of activities at CES 2025 in Las Vegas. In a joint statement, LG and Microsoft confirmed that players will be able to use Xbox Cloud Gaming on LG Smart TVs, but they did not list which TV models will receive the feature.
Microsoft said it will provide additional information in the coming months, and the firms did not disclose the exact rollout date or the countries where the integration will be available.

How the feature will work on LG Smart TVs
Xbox Cloud Gaming is offered to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers as an app that streams games from Microsoft’s servers, removing the need for a local console when a title is supported. Once integrated into LG Smart TVs, players will be able to launch compatible games through the TV’s app.

Games and goals mentioned
- The companies noted that titles expected to be compatible include Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Avowed, the latter scheduled for release in February of this year.
- Microsoft described the integration as a way to give players more options for how they access and enjoy their games.
